While that may have sucked, there are two things that was apparent: The organizers for this Con where on the ball--- they were on top of things (as long as it's in their reach) and the convention coordinators were efficient in dealing with any issue that came up during the con.
It was a medium-sized convention as far as attendees/vendors/artists were telling me (it's my first Comics Convention so I wouldn't know). Met some of my favorite artists (Adam Hughes and Iain McCaig)--- they were such nice people especially with Mr. McCaig once he found out I'm an Art Student trying to be a Concept Artist.
And then he said "and now I hereby announce you as a Concept Artist! now, start practicing on your sketchbook and build your portfolio from there! If there's another Comic Con here in Vegas, I will try to be here again and show me your progress!"
He added that he may not be good at faces but he knows names and the artwork associated with it... so I have to work harder in order to be more recognizable, heh.
I have to admit, I was awestruck and dumbfounded at the same time. He was so enthusiastic about it that it really got me stoked and more inspired in pursuing this field.
Me and Iain McCaig!
